Backseat View

Every so often when I have to travel to Port-au-Prince I take one of the kids with me.  For safety they ride in the backseat of the truck.  Recently I had to got to Port to pickup Marcie at the airport as she returned from a quick two-day trip to Fort Lauderdale.  Ethan came along and the following pictures were taken by him.  This is the view from the backseat.

Zooming by the banana fields in Archaie

Market day in Cabaret

My Dad coming back across the road with some eggs

Here comes the Brana truck - carrying lots of sodas

Haitian fog (dust) where the road construction is happening.  The motorbike ran out of gas and luckily he had help from his passenger

Goats, sheep and charcoal

One way to hitch a ride in Port-au-Prince
