Want to know what your missionaries and missionary kids are doing? Well, the kids are having tea parties and Ben is busy changing a tire on the truck. Along with many other tasks these are some of the things that fill our days.
The front left tire on our 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser finally went completely flat the other day. It had a slow leak but the rough roads must have lodged something loose that was blocking the hole and it was all out of air. In God's providence it not only happened at home but under the car port in the shade. In a place as hot as Haiti it doesn't get any better than that : )
In the picture you see Ben turning the jack and the boys ready to help with the tools standing by. We are very thankful for a mechanic friend who lives in Haiti. Cullie is always available by phone. I could not get the spare out of its location under the back of the truck. Quick call to Cullie and out came the spare. Tire changed. Thanks to brother-in-law Ken I didn't even have to pump up the tire by hand. A little cigarette lighter powered air pump did the trick.
And the kids? We are thankful they play together well most of the time. We are encouraged to see the love of Christ displayed in their interactions. In this picture they are out on our large second-level balcony enjoying a tea party. Not real tea but certainly real cookies!
And where is Mama? She is often busy home schooling, cleaning, cooking or chasing after the dog - and enjoying time with us splashing around in the pool. God is good and we are thankful.
