We often live so much in the present that we forget to look back. God's faithfulness is not only a present reality but a reminder to be thankful for His past blessings. Working together with a missionary from the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) we planted a church in Port-au-Prince three years ago. Looking to GOd to bless the work, we began services on the back porch of a home with 12 or 13 people. That Sunday was a day of small beginnings.
This past Sunday, three years later, we were reminded again of God's faithfulness to grow his church as we had over 120 people in attendance. We did have some
blan visitors, but most of the people come from various neighborhoods in Port-au-Prince to hear Reformed and Biblical teaching and preaching. We are thankful God is growing his church in such a short time. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8) Praise the Lord!
