The Breezy Sea

Today we were on a breezy sea and on the Breezy Sea.  Let me explain.  Our Vacation Bible School (VBS) team arrived in Haiti yesterday so today was our travel day to Lagonav.  Often I am able to charter the Wesleyan boat to take us to the island.  Today the Breezy Sea, or Briz Sou Lamè in Creole, journeyed to the mainland to pick us up.

Late yesterday the wind had really picked up and the waves were crashing on the beach when we took the team down for a quick dip in the pool at Kaliko.  The wind did calm down overnight but Saturday morning gave us three to four foot swells on the water.  Not rough but enough to give us a fun ride.  Those who needed it took their motion sickness pills and no one had too rough a time.

With our safe arrival on the other side it was time to unload the boat and load up the truck.  Lots of luggage when you take a team of ten, family of 6 and all the food you need to eat with you.  I am always so thankful that God oversees the little details and we typically don't forget anything too important.  Tomorrow it is off to worship at Doglace and then a day of rest before our four days of VBS at Bwa Pen and Nan Mangot.  Thanks for praying.
