Thank you all for your prayers for Heather on the recent death of her father. She was able to return to Canada for a few days this week to be with her family and to say goodbye. We are very grateful that travels plans came together. She was glad to be back in Canada to support her mother and the rest of the family. Thank you also for your prayers for Ben and children who stayed behind. Below is an excerpt from the funeral bulletin on the life of Dave Moores. We will miss him.
"Today we celebrate the life of Dave Moores, married to Jean-Ann (Nee Hebb) since 1963. Loving father of Pam (Ken) Fogh of Utopia, Heather (Benjamin) Hopp of Kaliko, Haiti and Andy (Christy) Moores of Uxbridge. Cherished grandfather of Rachel & Amanda Fogh, Ethan, Emma Grace, Elijah & Esther Hopp and Jake, Kyle & Ryan Moores.
Dave's career spanned 38 years in Property Assessment. He retired at 57. He was devoted to his family. His interests were teaching woodworking, fishing, boating, bowling and photography. Over his lifetime he held office in the Anglican Young People's Association, the Jaycee's, the Unionville Festival Committee, and multiple Woodturners Guilds. He volunteered for local political candidates, theatre groups, the Canadian Cancer Society, Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, and the Living Jesus Outreach Ministry. Dave was creative, determined, compassionate, and humorous. Although Frontal Lobe Vascular Dementia robbed him of his memory, he bravely endured the consequences of this devastating condition."
