Our friends Randy & Karen Lodder were gracious enough to host us at a beautiful spot in Port-au-Prince. One doesn't always think of Port and beauty in the same sentence, but there are spots. The place they are housesitting is located in a neighbor hood off Delmas 75. Looking out from the back patio you see a hillside covered in small trees and down the hill the city. Very relaxing for a spot in the middle of a city of 2 million.
They have a small zoo which the kids enjoyed. The museum has lots of history on Haiti and artifacts from different parts of the country. Heather had fun bartering with the street vendors trying to find a stone statue of lady with a baby. Then back down the mountain. All made for a good weekend away.
