The first official team of people has arrived in Haiti to help us with the work. Four pastors from the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in the United States arrived Saturday on the last flight from Miami. Also joining them was one of their wives, a great encouragement to Heather. The American Airlines plane arrived a little late as the sun began to fade in Port-au-Prince. After navigating immigration, customs and the phalanx of men wanting to carry bags (for a fee), we got everything loaded in the truck. A quick stop for drinks and we were off to Kaliko. Darkness was complete about halfway home, but by God's grace we didn't miss any speed-bumps.
Then 15 minutes from home the skies opened up. It really poured and my window would not close on the drivers side. On top of that the sunroof leaked on the passenger side. We were very wet but thankful to have arrived safe and sound.
