The screened in porch is finished. We are very thankful for the hard of work of Dave Lucas, Jim Kelly and pastor Wendell Stoltzfus of Covenant OPC in Reading, PA. Thanks also to the folks at Covenant for letting their pastor go and for their generous donation of time, tools and expertise. It not only looks great but is now a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors without being bothered by the mosquitoes.
After our weekend on Lagonav the men were back to work. And in two half days the work was complete including the new door in the arched entryway. Another quick trip to Port got us the rest of the materials needed to complete the job. Dave and Elijah and I were reminded again of the need for prayers when traveling on the road after we were forced off by an oncoming bus down near Cabaret.
We can now enjoy our morning coffee on the porch, do some home schooling and Heather & I can spend a quiet evening after the kids have gone to bed. The room will also be used as another bedroom for teams that come down. Do pray for us as we have people arriving starting Friday. The men coming are doing construction work on the Lagonav guest house. Pray for Bob Wright and Brian Miner as they coordinate the work. Pray for safety in travel on the road and across the water to Lagonav. Pray that all the details would come together smoothly. And pray for me as I help ferry teams back and forth along with regular tasks of preaching and coordinating the work here in Haiti.
