My first trip of our furlough has taken me to North East, Maryland. The beautiful Sandy Cove Retreat Center is at the north end of Chesapeake Bay. I can see the Bay as I walk to breakfast and from the common area outside the Assembly hall. It is a wonderful view.
While the Assembly is always full with business, there is also time for good fellowship. It is great to be able to renew old acquaintances from years gone by. Meals are always a good time to catch up. And the food is plentiful and delicious.
This year is a special year for the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. The OPC celebrates its 75th anniversary. It was formed in 1936 is still going strong 75 years later. We are thankful to God for the continuing faithfulness to the Scriptures represented by the churches found in the United States and Canada. Continue to pray for us.
