Vacation update

We are now safely settled at Ben’s parents in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  We left Port-au-Prince on Monday for Tampa.  Then after a short overnight stay we flew on to Toronto via Atlanta.  Still not quite there yet.  A five-hour drive to Ottawa after picking up the van from Grandad meant we arrived around 6PM.

Flying is always an adventure.  The kids like the window seats so they can see the sights.  On our Miami-Tampa segment the kids were invited to view the cockpit of the Boeing 737-800.  Captain Bill Albert and First Officer Amy Powers were gracious hosts.  After the flight they got to go up again for pictures in the seats.  Captain Albert had actually been to Haiti before on a short-term mission trip.  Lots of people with connections to our adopted home.
