Home renovations

The Hopp family is very thankful for the hard work of these four folks over the past week.  Dave, April, Kenton and Ian came to us from Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Reading, PA.  They worked hard on both the truck and doing some home renovation work at our place here in Kaliko.

Below are some pictures of the work that the team did (thanks to Ian for the use of a couple of his pictures).  They painted, cleaned, did many small repairs, built shelves in closets, welded bars on the deck, demolished part of the kitchen, built a kitchen island and installed a new front screen door.

In other news, the Senate runoff elections passed quietly here in Haiti.  The headlines indicated that Haitians mainly ignored the runoff elections.  We spent a quiet Sunday at a local church and then around the house.  We are grateful for continued calm here in Haiti.
