It is Sunday. We got up with the sun to get ready for worship in Monwi. A planned trip to Lagonav was cancelled because of heavy rains. Since I had planned to have Max my interpreter with me, I was able to preach on the Parable of the Lost Son at the Monwi church. By 9:45AM we were back home, nice since it was already getting hot.
And what better way to spend a day of rest than at the beach. It was another scorcher today, approaching 90 degrees F. The water sounded very appealing, so after a lunch of basil chicken it was off to the beach. We went off to the nearby reef again to check out the fish. This time there were a few jellyfish around. It does hurt when they sting but it is not life threatening.
A good friend Matt from the OPC church in Bradenton has been down visiting over the last few days. The church agreed to send him down as a kind of Mule to bring items we needed. Some of the things were important car parts needed for repairs. Almost 200 lbs all together! We are thankful because God has blessed us in many ways.
And on top of all that we got a ton of rain last night. It has been a year since we got more than an inch (25mm) at one time. It literally poured for an hour and at the end of it we had 52.8mm of rain recorded. Everything is wet and when we get this kind of rain without the hurricane it helps everything grow and get green.
