We have now spent 3 wonderful days in sunny Wisconsin. We visited a couple churches on Sunday in Oostburg and Cedar Grove. We have eaten well but are glad for the nice weather so we can be outside walking.
Our gracious hosts Steve & Terri Joosse have a great place. They kids have enjoyed fishing in the pond out back. Lots of little blue gill to catch. The fish practically jump on the line! They even went swimming on Sunday afternoon. Hard to believe the water is warm enough, but they enjoyed it.
It is windy and slightly cooler than Florida. The wind blows off the lake and brings the temps down. Great place for flying kites. On Monday we spent part of the afternoon at a State Park on Lake Michigan. The fog was still pretty dense near the coast. We talked the dunes and then the kids splashed in the water. Didn’t take them long to get wet.
The Nature Center had lots of fun displays. The kids got activity booklets for the Junior Rangers. It was very quiet ahead of the Memorial Day weekend but it promises to get busy. The video below shows the kids jumping the waves with Steve Joosse.
