We know where we are, but do you know? Could you point out Haiti on the map? How about places like Port-au-Prince, Kaliko or the island of Lagonav? The image above shows a zoomed in map of Haiti with our route from Port-au-Prince, the capital city, up Route Nationale #1 to our home in Kaliko. The ferry crossing to Lagonav is just up the road at Carries, heading over to large town of Ansagale, our future home on the island.
And finally, what does the landscape look like? Haiti is a pretty rugged country with lots of mountains and hills, some rising right out of the sea. Near our house the mountains are about 3000 feet high, some rise as high as 10000 in Haiti. Makes the roads a challenge, as you generally have to go around rather than through.

Listed on this map are some of the towns we frequent. When we need to deal with government we drive down to Port-au-Prince, or for a big shopping trip. Montrouis is a close town with some shops. We have also worshipped in Saint Marc up the coast from our home in Kaliko. Anse-a-Galets will be our home on Ile de la Gonave.
