T+6: End of the work week

IMG_3157 The projects are finished.  We loaded up the truck and were on the road home at exactly 5:00PM.  We took a picture with the Leon Amicy family after the tools were packed.  They were all very grateful for the work we had done.  With a few little jobs finished the second story will house Pastor Octavius and his family who are due to arrive by the end of the month.

IMG_3098 We had a good rain last night.  The rain was welcome as it really brought down the dust.  This could be the start of the rainy season as it also rained during the day today.  A good day for working.  This picture of the bus off the road was a result of slick roads.  They had cleared it out by supper time and looks like no one was injured.  Lots of crazy drivers on the roads as our team can attest to.  Not sure if they would put me in that category as well.

IMG_3155 Not much else to say except that we are tired.  Lots driving, lots of working.  We are grateful for God’s mercy this past week.  I am very thankful for this group of very hard working guys and their sacrifice of time to come help the ministry here in Haiti.  We are not sure what the next project will be but there remains much work to be done.  Tomorrow the team flies home but not before a celebratory dinner out at Wahoo Bay.  A fuller report of the finished work tomorrow.
