Today was day two of the summer Bible school program at the church in Doglas. This church is located about 45 minutes up into the hills above Ansagale. It is the closest of the churches that the OPC Mission works with in Haiti.
Though the trip is short, it is pretty rough. Everyone commented on their sores after the two days of riding to the church in the back of the pickup trucks. We took two trucks, filled with Team Haiti members, the two interpreters, the helpers for the trucks and a few others along for the ride.
Below are some pictures of our day with explanations to go along.
Emma came along today to join the church kids in the program. Her favorite part was making the craft tamborine.

There were a total of about 60 kids each of the days. They were very well behaved and very attentive. They enjoyed reciting the catechism and singing LOUDLY!
All the kids color the plates that will become their bead filled tamborines. There were certainly some budding artists among the group. Many of the pictures included he Haitian flag.
The snacks of juice and bread with peanut butter were well received.
Running kids were taking part in a game of "Duck, duck, goose", or as contextualized to Haiti, "Bef, bef, bourik." (Cow, cow, donkey). They ran hard but thankfully there were no injuries.
After returning to the guest house around 1PM, we eat lunch and then do a little work around the guest house. Here the team with Ethan and Elijah are filling buckets of gravel to transport to the back of the house for fill.
