Happy American Thanksgiving

Our family celebrates all the holidays as we have both Canadian and American citizens among the Hopps.  So from our family in Haiti to yours, Happy American Thanksgiving!  We have much to be thankful for.  And being in Haiti we are reminded of that every day – we have good health, plenty to eat, a clean and dry home plus the spiritual blessing of being united to Jesus Christ.  What more could a family ask for?

I came across this article today from the Christian Post about another mission here in Haiti working near Port-au-Prince.  It is refreshing to hear about the spiritual battle that is being waged instead of the constant focus on the physical plight of people.  We don’t want to minimize the difficulty of the life of people in Haiti, but their spiritual plight is much more serious - and it has eternal consequences.  For that reason we labor here in Haiti.
