Today we finished up our first 3 days at Gran Lagon. The last few days have been intense but good. The team has weathered the heat well and though somewhat lacking in sleep have continued to show forth a joyful spirit. We are grateful for God’s grace.
For most of the team the kids have been the highlight. It is fun to hear them recite the catechism, watch them play games and see the joy in their faces as they sing. With over 60 kids attending each day, their attention is not always easy to hold but they did great.
The trip to the church takes about an hour and fifteen minutes. With little rain overnight, the mud that we encountered on Team Haiti in July did not materialize. We did have delays both days because of leaky tires. A couple extra stops but by early afternoon we were home at the guest house.
Tomorrow we begin our next 3 day VBS at Doglas, with a Sunday at Nan Kafe in between. Hard to believe but we are nearly half way through. Keep praying for safety on the roads and stamina for Team Haiti and the Hopp family.
