If you have been following the blog you will happy to know that the whole team is back safe on the mainland of Haiti. We spent 8 good days on the island but everyone is happy to be “home.” The team from southern California heads home tomorrow.
Ethan, Emma Grace and Elijah have joined us on many of the days out at the churches. They enjoy the chance to learn the catechism (in Creole), play games and meet the Haitian kids. We are thankful because they are real troopers, sleeping on mattresses, away from the cool house at Kaliko and journeying in the pickup trucks to the churches.
Every day we provide peanut butter on bread and water for the kids. Elijah and Emma join in the snack as everyone sits to enjoy it.
All the kids love the games. Ethan cheers his team on at dodgeball. There are always lots of laughs and everyone likes the exercise.
Here is the group on the last day of VBS at Doglas. Can you spot the blan (foreigners)?
Ethan has made some little friends at both Gran Lagon and Doglas. All smiles!
