Bullfrogs and butterflies

OK, not exactly. But Haiti is a land full of all sorts of interesting creatures. Right now the kids find the lizards and geckos most interesting. They caught a couple very small ones yesterday and we are still in the midst of identifying them. We practice "catch and release" with our lizards. They all get to go free at dusk to hunt for their supper of insects.

Our dog Thai is doing well. Growing and learning to be a great watch dog. She barks whenever anyone comes to the gate or near the house. She has a good set of lungs on her. The heat is pretty intense and she usually takes an afternoon siesta.
Today we celebrated Heather's birthday. We will be having spaghetti for supper and chocolate pudding for dessert. Unfortunately our cake mixes seem to have disappeared so a cake was out of the question. We will be sure to have something ready for Ethan's birthday in a week or so.
