Our house in Haiti

Some of you have asked our living conditions here in Haiti. We thought we would share pictures of our place in Kaliko. It is about 50 km up Route Nationale 1 from Port-au-Prince. We drove it Monday and it took a little over an hour once we got through the traffic in Port. The driving is pretty wild. Will try and upload a video sometime so you can see.

We are living in the same home where the Baugh family lived during their time in Haiti (Matt Baugh was the missionary killed in the motorcycle accident May 2006.) It is a two-story home with two bedrooms, one bath upstairs, plus large kitchen dining room. Downstairs there is an office/guest room. Our security/maintenance man Wilson also lives in a separate room downstairs. We have ample storage, plus air conditioning in the large bedroom and office. Once we get our window air conditioning unit Mama and Papa will move into their own bedroom : )
There is a large fenced yard, lots of grass, plus a large balcony where the kids love to play. Lots of shade trees which is great. And a beautiful view of our eventual home in La Gonave from the upper balcony.

"By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established" Prov 24:3 Bondye bon (God is good).
